How is the health score calculated?
The score is a weighted average of three categories: Security (35%), Engagement (35%), and Growth (30%). Each category contains multiple checks that contribute to the overall score. The final grade ranges from A (excellent) to F (needs improvement).
Is the server audit free?
Yes. The audit costs no credits. Each server gets one audit every 24 hours: if you ask again sooner, you get the latest report. It needs the DiscordGate bot on your server.
Why do I need the bot installed to use this tool?
The DiscordGate bot collects real-time server data including member counts, channel activity, and configuration details. Without the bot, we cannot access the necessary information to perform an accurate health check.
What's the difference between the web tool and the /health command?
The /health command in Discord has access to more detailed real-time data (like 2FA status, moderation bot detection, voice activity) that the web tool cannot access. For the most accurate results, we recommend using the Discord command.
How often should I run a health check?
We recommend running a health check monthly to track your server's progress, or after making significant changes to your server's configuration. You can run one audit per server every 24 hours. The growth metrics are most useful when you have historical data over time.
What do the recommendations mean?
The AI-generated recommendations are personalized suggestions based on your server's specific weaknesses. They prioritize high-impact improvements that will have the most positive effect on your server's health score.
Why is my security score low?
Common reasons include: disabled 2FA for moderators, low verification level, disabled explicit content filter, or too many roles with administrator permissions. Review the check details to see specific issues.
Can I compare my score with other servers?
Currently, health scores are private to each server. We may introduce anonymous benchmarking in the future to help you understand how your server compares to similar communities.
