October 9 update: new design, featured servers and owner space

On October 9, 2026 we shipped the biggest DiscordGate update since V2: a new look for the whole public site, a way to put your server in the spotlight, a brand-new space for server owners and a much simpler way to add a server. Here is what changed.

A new design for the whole site

The landing page, the server catalog, server pages, tag pages, tools, the blog and the changelog all get a new visual identity. Darker graphite backgrounds, one colour per role (green to join, blue to navigate, brass for sponsored servers) and a new self-hosted font.

  • Home page: search comes first, with an "À la une" showcase that rotates up to 8 servers (with a pause button), a live "Active now" rail, the biggest communities, categories, tools and a FAQ.
  • Catalog (/servers): a filter rail, a filter sheet on mobile and a toggle between tiles and a list.
  • Activity at a glance: each server shows when it was last bumped, with a small freshness meter.
  • Server pages: a banner header, a join card that stays in view, tabs, similar servers (same category, then shared tags, then same language) and a join button docked at the bottom on mobile.
  • Mobile: layouts that used to be cut off on small screens now stack properly.

Featured servers

Server owners can now buy a featured placement: 3.99 € for 7 days or 11.99 € for 30 days, with three places per language. Featured servers appear first in the home page showcase and in a "Sponsored servers" block on the catalog and tag pages, always with a clear "Sponsored" label. Payment is by card through Stripe.

A new /featured page explains where your server will show, how many places are left and who is eligible. Once your placement is running, you can follow it and extend it from your owner space.

A new owner space

Everything you need to manage your server now lives under one place, /manage:

  • Home: a to-do list that tells you what to do next (bump, publish, complete your listing), with your views, join clicks and bumps over 30 days. You can bump and publish in one click, right from the page.
  • My listing: the whole editor on one page, with a live preview (catalog tile or full page) and the credit cost shown before you save. Your listing now saves on its own.
  • Server Hub: health check, security, activity, announcements, embeds and channels, reorganised and easier to read.
  • Visibility: bumps, featured placement and 30-day stats compared with the 30 days before.
  • Reviews: you can now see the reviews your server received.

The old dashboard is gone: its links redirect to their new place automatically.

Adding a server is simpler

Every "Add a server" button now leads to the same flow. Pick one of the servers you administer, see exactly which permissions the bot asks for (two are required for the listing, the others are optional and only used for audits), and DiscordGate checks the setup on its own: bot added, members read, invite created. When everything is ready, you fill in a short express listing and you're live. The old submission wizard has been removed.

An ID decoder in the lookup tools

Discord no longer lets third-party tools look up users, so our lookup pages now say so plainly and show what still works: how to find someone by username inside Discord, how to copy an ID, and an ID decoder that runs in your browser. Paste an ID, a mention, a profile link or a message link to see when it was created and get a ready-to-copy Discord timestamp. The Snowflake tool does the same for any ID.

Servers that left DiscordGate

When a server removes our bot, its page no longer pretends to be a live listing. It now shows a clear "no longer available" banner, suggests similar active servers and hides the join button. These pages leave search results so you only find servers you can actually join.

Credits and the rest

  • The credits page now shows the real cost of each action, and a "What credits are for" window lets you buy a pack directly.
  • Feedback and AI generation windows were rebuilt, and other pop-ups were cleaned up.
  • Security: a dependency of our email service was updated.

Something looks off or you have an idea? Send us your feedback from the site or on our Discord server. Every message is read.
